The view from the monument is outstanding and worth the drive. There is a 20-minute film that gives you the history of the area. Tidal pools are open until 4:00, so it’s worth adding to the visit.Full review by CRAIG C

You have to check the tide times. Generally best 2 hours before and 2 hours after the low tide time.

Through the years my children, then grandchildren went to Cabrillo lighthouse with me many times. They loved the hiking trails and climbing to the top of the lighthouse.
