I visited the Gardens by the Bay with my family and was blown away by the beautiful displays. Really great for taking pictures and photography. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit the iconic S…Full review by Toby M
Can I access and walk around the cloud forest without using an elevator? Some reviews state that the staff would not let people use the stairs. I am claustrophobic so worried about this. Thank you

Yes you can as long as you are OK with using escalators

This is one of those impossible to answer questions because the answer is subjective and situational. The advantage of buying in advance is that you may be able to get an online discount, although these are usually fairly small in my experience. However you likely lock yourself down to a specific day of visiting the Gardens in order to access the dome containing the Cloud Forest. You also may not have to physically queue is you get an e-ticket or priintable bar code that can be scanned (as opposed to an exchangeable voucher). Buying on the day is less likely to provide a discount but lets you go when you actually visit - letting you respond to bad weather etc. You do have to go to the ticket counter and queue however I have never had to queue more than a minute to two as the ticketing is run efficiently and I avoid buying tickets when a bus load of people turn up. It comes down to which is more important to you - the level of discount you get online vs the flexibility of buying on the day and that is a personal choice
I just want to buy the ticket for Cloud Forest only, is that possible?

When is the best time to go? In the morning, afternoon or evening ?

I'd go earlier in the day as we went to at about 3:30pm and had to wait a bit (15 minutes) as there was a crowd to get in, and then up the elevator to the top floor (you could walk also). Be aware that it is blissfully air-conditioned once you're inside and waiting really isn't that bad. It is refreshing respite from the afternoon heat and humidity.
