It was a great hike up the various Cloudbridge trails in the cloud forests - pretty water falls - quite steep, need to pace yourself.Full review by 163sushilk

Yes, a light 4 x 4 is fine. The only problem is that you will not be able to drive up to the reserve on Saturday Feb. 23rd. The Chirripo marathon is on and the road is closed to vehicles. It will be open on Sunday for people to drive up.

October is not a really good time just about anywhere here.... it is traditionally the wettest month of the year, with the exception of areas on the southern part of the Carribean coast. But, mornings are usually nice, so if you go, get there early and get out before the rains start... the road is not one you want to be on in a tropical downstorm. Birds are starting to migrate, so that is a good thing.
