This place is truly a gem. I can’t believe it’s free and entry isn’t charged. I went shelling and visited the fort. The bathrooms are clean. There is no litter. You can picnic there. It’s absolutely … Full review by hmh717

Very nice visitor center which is starting point for the 3 daily guided tours (free!). The tours cover the history and architecture of the fort with beginnings reaching back into early American histo… Full review by pamelaproch

Is there still an area where you can sit on the inlet side across from the fort after the hurricane
A:
There was extensive damage to the fort due to the hurricane but I have not visited since the hurricane.

WE did not fish while there. With the recent fall storms, I am not sure of conditions.
