Its about 40km/25miles from Jomo Kenyatta airport. The unfortunate situation is that it could take as low as 30mins or up to 2hrs due to Nairobi traffic. So plan accordingly and be flexible. We've experienced both long and short drive times. Fortunately, we had a private driver and took into account timing of various operating hours and visiting times.

Not far. Bear in mind that the feeding of the elephants only happens once a day at 1100 and you need to have booked in advance, so sort out the elephants first and then consider how to do the giraffes. The giraffes will only take about an hour, so you could do them before the elephants if you are going to be in Nairobi, but you will need to queue for the elephants, so aim to be there at 1030. We came from Amboseli straight to the elephants and did the giraffes afterwards, then had a late lunch.
