This park is along Lake Ontario. We went during the week and the sand on the beach was raked and clean. This park has a huge playground for kids with 2 zip lines and a splash pad. There is also 2 oth…Full review by sheila270

Nice waterfront park with plenty of parking, an area for kids to play, and a trail along the waterfront. Didn't see much wildlife, but that was probably due to time of day.Full review by dbinhou7511

its a public park so I don’t think so. We took photos when we were there and there is no counters or station.

A permit is required from the city if your group is more than 20 people. The access to Lakeview Park is free, the permit isn’t. Less than 20 people is free, above that starts at $31.50 and goes up depending on the amount of attendees and if the ‘party’ is personal or commercial. Yes, you need a permit to hold an event or picnic at Lakeview Park and I believe there is a fee for usage depending on the number of people. Here is the contact information for the City of Oshawa that will help you out. There is also a building/pavillion located on the property where you can hold a reception, party or other event.
