I would recommend the museum but not the food. The boat ride was fun but there were too many steps. The sculpture park was moving.Full review by Dianna P

I stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn that was right off of I-85 and about a 10 min. ride from the memorial. I would also suggest that you visit the Legacy museum first.

Example - a woman stole a ham; a man winked at a white woman! Sickening! It is a life altering experience to be made so aware of the KNOWN lynchings.

I spent 4.5hrs. It was closing or Ida stayed another 40min. But I also read every bit of it and did ALL the interactive options and watched ALL the short films I’d def include the memorial site, a 4min drive away, which will likely take you at least another hour. The memorial is more of a place to reflect while strolling.
Q:
Is there any parental advisory for smaller children?
A:
I don't believe so. It may be best for little ones to have some background knowledge on slavery and mass incarceration.
