Steep in places but so worth the climb. You can go in, on and all around these ruins, even including an old prison (you do need to go on hand and knees for that). Has a little store you can buy ref… Full review by JennC1212

Great long climb up 933 stairs (can drive car up other side) incredible views of old town and Aria and harbor. Well worth the sweat! Full review by Dream500789

Palamidi castle is a nice place to visit if you want to see the Argos Bay from above. You can either walk the stairs to the top or take your car to the parking next to the place. Full review by 209lailaw

That is correct, they are a little narrow at spots, but are not spiral. If you have an aversion to heights or vertigo, it might be better to drive up.
