Naples Island and their beautiful canals is a must when in the Long Beach area. It’s only a 15 minute drive from the convention center and allows you to walk around and see gorgeous views.Full review by chloethomas1213

We went at night in early January, and most of the Christmas lights appeared to still be on. Easy to find parking at that time and we enjoyed it. Ran into some of the Chads and Beckys who live in thi…Full review by Mark S

Take a red bus (bring some pocket change with you) heading towards the « Belmont Shore « area (that’s on 2nd Street). Ask the concierge at the hotel to make sure you take the bus in the right direction - he should also know how much the ride will cost you. Once in the red bus just ask the driver to tell you when to get off on 2nd Street. There is a little Italian restaurant called Dominico’s - if you google it you will have the exact address on 2nd Street. Mind you, there are tons of quaint little restaurants on 2nd street and it’s a pleasant walk. Once you’re done eating your about 5 - 10 minutes away from the bridge (safe for pedestrians) it takes you to Naples Islands.... follow the water! If a city bus does not appeal to you then just Uber or rent a bicycle. Just follow Ocean Blvd until it takes you to a fork - hand left it becomes 2nd Street!
Hi, Where is the best place to park in order to get on the walk way to see all the Xmas lights on either side of the canal.

To answer your question about parking during the parade of lights through the canals of Naples. I suggest that arriving before dark before the start of the boat parade as the traffic is horrible. I usually park several blocks away from the small side streets as you will not get out fast to leave. You can try across 2nd st to the north or over past the bridge in the shopping center parking lots on PCH and you will find walking a mile will be the norm or arrive in the afternoon before all others get off work. You can expect 25,000 plus people clogging up the streets beyond the normal traffic. I hope you have good legs or own your own skateboard. Good luck...
Hi! I was wondering if there is a spot to rent stand up paddle boards on the islands. My wife and I will be there the weekend of 6/16-618.

Yes! The good thing is that parking is much easier on this side of the bay. I haven’t used Kayaks on the Water (5411 E Ocean, LB) on but a friend has & he spoke highly of them. Check out the restaurants and bike rentals (velopacific) on 2nd Street - you can have a whole day of fun! Also, Alfredo’s Beach Club offers all kinds of rentals. Generally, in June it’s cool in the morning and warms up around noon so bring a sweatshirt.
