Hi, I started taking my grandson at age 5, your boy sounds just like my grandson who never stops to read the signs! There’s a huge display of army vehicles in the grounds too and I’d say definitely worth an hour’s trip. We go every year. There’s a nice cafe and small play area upstairs. All in all plenty to look at.
