Right in the middle of the Charlottesville downtown mall you will find the theater. It is still going and has been restored. You will find a variety of shows. Enjoy history. Full review by PerksAdvisor_NYC

I was looking to come and see a Saturday evening performance but am travelling alone and wondered about safety late in the evening returning to wherever it is possible to park my car - or does it have its own dedicated car park?

We used Uber which was very reasonable so I’m not sure I can answe your question. But if it’s the area you’re concerned about, we felt safe. I’d consider Uber. Hope this helps!
