I was amazed at how few people were here in this area today. I know it’s winter, but honestly, it was 15 to 20° and it was lovely. The cobbled tiles are lovely patterns and the arches are a nice cool… Full review by CrisH653

You do not need to plan to visit, as long as you are exploring Ponta Delgada on foot, you will eventually pass by! Does not get very busy so pretty easy to get the snap in! Full review by Baggio1018

Really close. You can walk to the town. Lots of lovely little cafes etc close by. Like 10 minutes lazy walk. Unless, there is more than one ship in, and your ship is on the other side of the Quay. In that case, you may need a shuttle to drop you off. Ponta Delgada is lovely, but if you can, do the lake and mountain tour. Its amazing. The lake is really high up the mountain and spectacular.
