I've never been there during that time frame, BUT to give you an idea of the unpredictability of the weather in that area, we've been there in July and August and have has snow storms pop up in both this months. Temperature drops, storm starts, trails get kinda scary. Given that you'll be there in March, I can say that you should come prepared for anything. As for the touristy things, I don't know what will be open, but if the trains running, the stores will be open for the time the train is in the station. Good luck!
