We booked on line and used Alamo. We picked up the car at the airport and dropped it off there. We added the insurance but didn’t have any problems. We did not get a 4-wheel Drive and it is not necessary unless you are going in the winter or traveling off road. Roads were very easy to drive.

How long would you need to spend at the falls?

If it’s just at ground level 30 mins should be adequate. If you want to reach the upper levels allocate 1& 1/2 hours to 2 hours dependent on your exploring needs.

As above, I don't think you will have any issues visiting unless there is some really unfortunate weather.
