Worth the hike! Beautiful lush green hike to viewing deck and the waterfall. It was pretty muddy so plan your footwear accordingly.Full review by Tgrbait

I hiked at Thunderbird Falls in June of this year (2018). The trail was relatively easy to walk, and it was about a mile each way. It was also a popular hike, but it was not overcrowded. The panoramic view of the waterfall is spectacular. I saw no wildlife when I did this hike, but it is a good idea to be prepared.

Is it very obvious where the dangerous parts of the trail are? Would it be safe to make this hike in the winter, or should I wait until there is less ice? Is this a good leisure hike to take or would I need to be very careful about where I step to avoid falling towards certain death?

Unless you have ice cleats for your shoes, I'd wait till the ice melts.
