Mr Woodhouse. I am a military historian, a Subject Expert at Oxford University.... it sounds as if you have a very valuable collection both in the material itself and financially if you were to sell them. Be very careful as to those who contact you and wish to see the documents. I have a colleague at the National Bavarian Library in Munich who may be able to help....but this is not the correct venue for exchanging contact details. Dr Stephen Bull at The Museum of Lancashire , Preston is also a colleague and friend, explain your issue and he will put you in contact with me.
What hotels in Ingolstadt are nearby the Bavarian Army Museum. thank you

I travelled by train from Munich.....about 40 minutes to the northern station, then by bus which drops you outside. Hundreds of hotels in Munich to sort any pocket.
