There is a great raft tour that starts in Fruita ends in Utah. Along the way you get to explore petroglyphs and view amazing rock. I can't recall the name, but it is just south less than a mile from the Colorado State Park. Often a meal is provided. Depending on season, you can jump off the raft (with the required life jacket) and float.
