Hi there, The snow will start early to the mid of December and the road can be a bit tricky, with lots of bends. If the road is too bad it will be closed by the G.N.R. which is the local police. If you do get to the top of the Torre you will have a great view, there will be a lot of souvenirs but beware it can be a tourist trap. There is a lake before you get to the Torre which is beautiful, very cold water, again the scenery is amazing. On the way down you can go to a little town called Manteigas where there is a trout farm and a restaurant across the road, its a great view but beware there are a lot of turns and bends. Seia is the biggest town that you will get to,where you can buy souvenirs at a reasonable price, and good restaurants. Hope this will help. Have a great trip, and enjoy the local food. Dartman
