The Washington Commanders clinched a playoff spot by beating the Atlanta Falcons 30-24 in overtime. Jayden Daniels ran for a season-high 127 yards and threw for 227 and three touchdowns to make the postseason in his rookie year in the NFL.

But the other rookie quarterback in the game, Michael Penix Jr. of the Atlanta Falcons, was also fantastic in rallying his team to overtime with a great game-tying drive in regulation.

Jayden Daniels rifled a spiral between two defenders, hitting a diving Zach Ertz in the hands for a game-winning score against the Atlanta Falcons in overtime, clinching a playoff berth for the Washington Commanders.

Also, the Falcons defense allowing the Commanders to convert a fourth-and-5 on their own 39 late in the third quarter was a huge turning point in the third quarter. Down 17-14, Daniels hit running back Jeremy McNichols for the conversion that then led to the go-ahead touchdown.
