Conduent has confirmed suffering disruptions due to a cyberattack after government agencies reported service outages.

A person familiar with the incident told TechCrunch the outage was caused by a cyberattack. Conduent spokesperson Sean Collins acknowledged the company’s outage was ongoing but declined to answer questions or rule out a cyber incident.

Florham Park, N.J.-based Conduent—whose systems are used to enable government services such as child support payments and food assistance—recently suffered an outage that impacted some support payments and benefits in the U.S., according to a TechCrunch report.

U.S. government contractor Conduent, which provides technology to support services such as child support and food assistance, has confirmed that a recent
