Michigan State received a commitment from transfer portal wide receiver Evan Boyd, formerly of Central Michigan, Saturday night. He has three years of eligibility remaining. Boyd (6-3, 210) originally entered the transfer portal on Dec.

Evan Boyd announced his pledge to the Spartans after two seasons with Central Michigan. Boyd was an All-State wide receiver with East Lansing in 2022.

Boyd was rated a three-star prospect out of high school while starring as a receiver for East Lansing. He was named to the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Dream Team in 2022 after setting a single-season school record with 994 receiving yards. He had 61 catches and six touchdowns as a senior.
