FEMA is reminding people affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton that they have less than two weeks to apply for individual assistance.

FEMA has extended the deadline for hurricane survivors in Georgia to apply for federal assistance. Instead of having applications due on Jan. 7, residents in all 63 counties now have until Feb. 7 to apply.

Following a request from the state, FEMA has extended the deadline for survivors to apply for federal assistance in Georgia.

Chaves County residents impacted by flooding in October have a week left to apply for FEMA aid. The deadline is Jan. 2. Affected residents can apply at the Roswell Disaster Recovery Center in the Roswell Mall.

Georgia homeowners and renters who suffered losses from Tropical Storm Debby and Hurricane Helene now have more time to apply for federal assistance.
