Update: Hughes Fire 95% contained, 10,425 acres destroyed in Los Angeles County
Hughes Fire initially started 10:53 a.m. Jan. 22 in Los Angeles County. It has burned 10,425 acres after being active for four days. By Sunday evening, the fire crew succeeded in containing 95% of the wildfire. The cause is, however, still being investigated.

The Eaton Fire is almost completely contained in the Altadena area northeast of Los Angeles. On the LA County coast, the Palisades Fire is over three-fourths contained. The Hughes Fire, which broke out in the Lake Castaic area Wednesday north of Los Angeles, is over 50% contained.
