Vietnam and Russia signed on Tuesday an agreement on nuclear energy and several cooperation deals during a visit to Hanoi by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, underlining close ties between the two countries.

Russia and Vietnam signed an agreement on nuclear energy on Tuesday during a visit by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin aimed at deepening ties between the two long-standing allies.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin said the country is willing to participate in building Vietnam's nuclear power industry as he held talks with Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi on Tuesday.
