Ex-Guerrilla Games managing director Hermen Hulst was appointed co-CEO alongside Platform Business Group bigwig Hideaki Nishino following the departure of Jim Ryan. The pair’s tenure officially started on 1st June, 2024.

Sony has announced that Hideaki Nishino has been promoted to sole CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment as part of a new leadership restructuring.

Last year it was announced that Nishino and Hermen Hulst would replace Jim Ryan as joint CEOs, with Nishino appointed CEO of SIE’s Platform Business Group and Hulst – who was previously head of PlayStation Studios and Guerrilla Games – becoming CEO of its Studio Business Group.
