Golf legend Tiger Woods has announced that his beloved mother, Kultida Woods, has passed away at the age of 78. Tiger, 49, shared the news of his mother's death in an emotional social media post in which he thanked Kultida for being his "biggest fan and greatest supporter" throughout his career.

Kultida Woods, who was from Thailand, met Tiger's father, Earl, during the Vietnam War. They moved to New York and married in 1969 before settling in California. The 15-time major winner's father died in 2006. The two were married for 37 years.

However, Kultida never missed an opportunity to support her son both on and off the golf course. She joined her grandkids, Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel, at Tiger's induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2022, and was often seen on the fairway cheering on Tiger and sporting her signature oversized black glasses and visor.
