New Luton Town boss Matt Bloomfield says parallels between the values at Kenilworth Road and old club Wycombe attracted him to the Hatters job.

Whilst the departures of Morley, Taylor and Bloomfield aren't guaranteed to derail the season, the Buckinghamshire club will be reluctant to allow anyone else to depart Adams Park this window. Too much change in the middle of the season could have a negative impact on the squad, risking results on the pitch taking a turn for the worst.

Bloomfield arrives at Kenilworth Road from Sky Bet League One promotion hopefuls Wycombe and will be joined by assistant Richard Thomas, first-team coach Lee Harrison and analyst Ben Cirne. Bloomfield made over 500 appearances for the Chairboys as a player and returned to Adams Park as a manager in 2023 following a stint in charge of Colchester.

Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the departure of manager Matt Bloomfield to Championship side Luton Town. The 40-year-old, who had been in charge of the Chairboys since February 2023 when he replaced the long-lasting Gareth Ainsworth, won 52 of his 108 games in charge of the Adams Park side.

However, the performances of the Chairboys have subsequently led to them losing their manager with Bloomfield choosing to pen a three-and-a-half-year contract at Kenilworth Road.
