Authorities recovered a car with a body inside from the Great Miami River late Tuesday night as below-freezing temperatures complicated the rescue.

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) - A vehicle went into the Great Miami River. Despite rescue efforts, one person was found dead. Emergency crews were called to the river, south of the Columbia Bridge, at about 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officials have recovered a body after a vehicle was reported in the Great Miami River. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office was called Tuesday, Jan. 21 to the Great Miami River in Hamilton, just south of the Columbia Bridge.
