At approximately 6:41 p.m., officers responded to 3815 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW to reports of a shooting. When they arrived they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her left leg. She was taken to the hospital and was stable. Investigators said it appears she was shot while she was trying to assault a man.

The female victim, 31, suffered injuries to her arm due to shattered glass. She was also alert, conscious, breathing, and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The victims, whose identities have not been released, were conscious, alert, and breathing when officers arrived.

Police said two people were injured in a shooting at a gas station in southwest Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon.
