Western North Carolina prepares for Winter storm
HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) — Storm preparations are underway in Western North Carolina. Crews there are not only preparing for the chance of snow and ice on the roadways, but are still cleaning up from Hurricane Helene. At the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Henderson County Yard, crews have been preparing for a winter storm.

The NWS Blacksburg VA issued an updated winter storm warning at 3:46 a.m. on Monday. The warning is for Ashe, Alleghany and Watauga counties.

On Monday at 10:53 a.m. the NWS Blacksburg VA issued an updated winter weather advisory. The advisory is for Ashe, Alleghany and Watauga counties.
