Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) will supply 2.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to India's Bharat Petroleum Corp under a new five year deal, sources with knowledge of the matter said on Monday.

ADNOC Gas and its subsidiaries have announced a 14-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IndianOil) for the export of up to 1.2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to India’s largest integrated and diversified energy company.

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. ADNOC Gas has finalized a 14-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IndianOil) for the export of up to 1.2 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG, Trend reports.

The deals highlight India’s plan to more than double the share of gas in its energy mix by the end of this decade, even as infrastructure bottlenecks are constraining the expansion.

Indian Oil Corp is in talks with U.S. firm Cheniere Energy for a 15-year liquefied natural gas deal, with volumes between 1.5 million to 2 million metric tons per year, said a company source on Tuesday on the sidelines of the India Energy Week conference.
