The series is a prequel to “Outlander,” which premiered on Starz in 2014 and has run for seven seasons with an eighth season incoming. “Blood of My Blood” will feature a new cast and characters, while also giving origin stories to characters from the original series and new points of view on some of the original’s events.

Starz has just announced that the first Outlander spin-off, prequel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, will premiere on August 8, 2025. Outlander: Blood of My Blood will fill out new corners of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) epic love story by showing us just how their respective parents met and fell in love.
