Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov did not play during the club's March 26 contest against the Anaheim Ducks. This is because the left-shot defenseman left the team to return to Boston to deal with a family matter.

DETROIT –- Cam Talbot made 20 saves to help the Detroit Red Wings to a crucial 2-1 win against the Boston Bruins at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday. Talbot made a spectacular glove save on Casey Mittelstadt with 9.8 seconds left to preserve the win.

Morgan Geekie has been a bright spot in what has been a miserable 2024-25 campaign for the Boston Bruins. The pending restricted free agent is third in team scoring with a career-high 26 goals and 41 points over 68 games. And Bruins GM Don Sweeney made it clear he is hoping to keep the 26-year-old around for the long haul.

The Bruins have been outscored 36-13 during their current seven-game winless streak (6-0-1). Pastrnak now has four straight 35-goal seasons. Geekie, with a goal and an assist, has a career-high 41 points this season.

The Boston Bruins will be down another defenseman when they take on the Anaheim Ducks. Interim coach Joe Sacco told reporters that Nikita Zadorov flew back to Boston due to a family matter and won’t play Wednesday night. It’s unclear when he’ll return to the team.

The Boston Bruins have now lost four in a row and are five points back of the second wild-card slot in the East.
