The Divine Nine has an important place in Black history. The Divine Nine is the nickname of a group of nine historically Black Greek-letter organizations called the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

Powell said the Divine Nine is significant because it uplifts the Black community. “I think these Greek-letter organizations are important because of the rich history and culture,” Powell said.
