Drake is suing his record label for spreading a “false and malicious narrative” when it released and promoted Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.”

Drake’s second diss track used artificial intelligence technology to include verses from Tupac and Snoop Dogg, two of Lamar’s influences. In his own verse, Drake accuses Lamar of delaying his response track because of the imminent release of Taylor Swift ‘s “The Tortured Poets Department.” (Lamar collaborated with Swift on “Bad Blood.”)

While fans and podcasters have been dissecting Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s 2024 rap feud incessantly, the Compton wordsmith has revealed that, for him, it was simply about the art of battle rap.

Drake filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group, his own label, alleging defamation.
