Hantavirus, believed to have killed Gene Hackman’s wife, caused West Virginia death in 2004
In 2004, two people were diagnosed with hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, referred to as Patient A and Patient B by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
