Merzlikins (undisclosed) won't play Sunday in Washington, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets ' official site.

According to social media posts Thursday by Blue Jackets goalie Elvis Merzlikins and his wife, Aleksandra, the couple welcomed their second son, Jaxon John Merzlikins, into the world Sunday.

Merzlikins has also allowed 13 goals in that span and 18 in his last four (3-0-1). The Jackets are pushing for the second wild card, and Elvis could keep winning with the kind of goal support he gets.

The 24-year-old goalie picked up his second win in as many days with a late NHL call-up after Elvis Merzlikins' injury.
