San Francisco Giants outfielder Jerar Encarnacion (hand) has been diagnosed with a fractured left hand, according to the team. Encarnacion recently fractured his hand while attempting to make a diving catch in a Cactus League game and will now be forced to miss at least the next couple of weeks,

The San Francisco Giants’ plans for the designated hitter spot turned upside down on the final day of spring training in Arizona.  The team announced Saturday that Jerar Encarnacion had fractured a bone in his left ring finger when he landed awkwardly on his glove hand trying to make a diving play on a soft line drive in Friday’s game against the Cleveland Guardians.
