I have tried a couple times after she passed away to start writing thank-you cards to those who sent flowers ... it’s never too late to send them. You also don’t have to send them at all.

but the absence of designated thank you cards troubled me. It felt like a sign that we don’t know who to thank and what to thank them for. Have we stopped thanking people? Do we do it by email ...
