Yesterday being the anniversary of the late President LINCOLN'S birthday, quite a number of ladies and gentlemen visited Oak Ridge Cemetery for the purpose of decorating the tomb of Mr. LINCOLN.

The Lincoln Tomb in Springfield will be open for visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Lincoln, his wife and three of their children were laid to rest in the tomb.

A Black history cemetery hike will start at the Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site at 2 p.m. March 1 and 2. The tomb is at 1500 Monument Ave. in Springfield.
