After a historic season of dominance, the Cleveland Cavaliers have claimed the No. 1 seed in the East. But not far behind them are the defending champions Boston Celtics in the No. 2 spot, led by Jayson Tatum and reigning Finals MVP Jaylen Brown.

The top-seeded Cavs swept the season series against New York, including Friday's victory in Madison Square Garden, in which Cleveland overcame a 23-point deficit to win. Boston also swept New York in head-to-head game this season, going 4-0 against the Knicks.

The top six teams in each conference automatically make the playoffs. Teams in positions 7-10 qualify for the play-in tournament starting April 15.
