Sidney Crosby’s power-play goal in the third period proved to be the game-winner while Bryan Rust added an empty-netter. The Devils have three regular-season games remaining, finishing at home Wednesday night against Detroit.

Ondrej Palat drew a hooking penalty from Kevin Hayes a few minutes later, giving the Devils a power play while already up a goal. Nico Hischier was kicked from the faceoff draw, and Tim Meier did enough to get the puck back.
