The Expo 2025 has opened in Osaka with more than 10,000 people singing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony to celebrate the start of the six-month event.

Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masakpo are in Osaka for this weekend's 2025 World Exposition opening. It's a six-month long event and they will be at the opening ceremony.
