The National Weather Service Tulsa survey team found high-end EF1 tornado damage in Owasso with estimated winds around 100-110 mph.
Storm damage is being reported in Owasso after a possible tornado tore through the area, leaving homes destroyed, power lines down, and residents assessing the aftermath.
City officials in Owasso are assessing the damage path of Wednesday morning’s storm damage that moved through the state stretching north of the town.
The City of Owasso is holding an emergency meeting of the City Council on Wednesday, April 2, to address recent severe weather.According to the City of Owasso,
"You could hardly get through the street, because of all of the vehicles and support help and trucks and already beginning to remove debris and people on roofs," the mayor said.
