CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Philadelphia 76ers made the move to bring over Lonnie Walker IV from overseas as they look to get a bit younger in the rotation around their Big 3. A former first-round pick, Walker is looking to make an impact and add to Philadelphia's playoff push.

Lonnie Walker IV spent the summer with the Boston Celtics as part of their preseason squad, after signing an Exhibit 10 contract.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers made a move during the All-Star break to bring in Lonnie Walker IV back from overseas. A 2018 first-round pick, Walker spent six seasons in the league playing for the San Antonio Spurs, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Brooklyn Nets before being unable to find a new NBA home.

Walker, who was in training camp with the Celtics before playing in Lithuania, scored 17 points against Boston.

Walker grew up watching the Sixers. The Wells Fargo Center was one of the first places he ever dunked, as a sixth-grader for Team Final. The fact that it’s his re-entry point to the NBA at a time when he’s old enough to be a veteran but young enough to still provide a spark only compounds the joy.
