An executive order by President Donald Trump is targeting the Presidio Trust, the federal agency that manages San Francisco's historic and cherished Presidio National Park, calling it "unnecessary."

An executive order from the president also took aim at three independent agencies that promote peace abroad and work on development in Latin American and Africa.

A California state senator said he believes the president's executive order to eliminate the trust is illegal.
