Nvidia hasn't announced the RTX 5060 yet, but I'm already worried about how the card will perform when it shows up.

During CES 2025, Nvidia unveiled its lineup of next-generation GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. While the desktop GeForce RTX 5090 garnered the most awe with its impressive specs, we also saw laptop GPUs — and these mobile GPUs might foreshadow what we can expect from the as-of-yet unannounced desktop GPUs, like the RTX 5060.

The four GPUs in the lineup include the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and the RTX 5090. They start off at just $549 and go up to $1999. For now, there is no information on the cheaper RTX 5060 models, but they can be expected to be somewhere in the $350 to $400 range.

The AMD Radeon RX 6800 GPU in my gaming PC is due for an upgrade, and I thought NVIDIA's RTX 5070 was the perfect match. However, one of the new RDNA 4 Radeon cards might be a better option if AMD can deliver on performance and pricing.
