The Tom S. Gettys Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is up for sale, causing concern among local artists who fear losing their downtown studios.

Artists say new ownership could jeopardize the studios, events and gathering spaces they’ve enjoyed for nearly 40 years.

The city of Rock Hill says they’re selling the building because the $3-million maintenance cost is too high. Lego is the world's largest toy company but it's gained a reputation for being an expensive hobby.
