A judge dismissed racketeering claims made against Sean “Diddy” Combs by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, but ruled other claims—including allegations of sex trafficking—could move forward, as the disgraced hip-hop mogul is less than two months away from standing trial on his sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges.

Diddy just scored a partial win in his sprawling tapestry of lawsuits. On Monday (Mar. 24), a judge dismissed claims that Sean Combs was not party to civil racketeering when he chose not to pay the producer for his work on Love Album.

Combs filed to dismiss the case, and today, Judge J. Paul Oetken dismissed the RICO allegations, stating that “it should not be necessary to root around a 402-paragraph complaint to contrive novel arguments on Jones’s behalf.
