Stephen King adaptations will be big in 2025, but one movie that will release in February looks like it could be one of the year's best horror films.

Written and directed by Longlegs helmer Osgood Perkins and adapted from King's short story of the same name, The Monkey follows twin brothers Hal and Bill (both played by Theo James), who witnessed a string of horrifying deaths as children after discovering their father's toy monkey in the attic.

The low-budget but bizarrely charming cinematic effort follows Ben Dobbs (Nick Baldasare), a young college student who is plagued by vivid and unsettling nightmares filled with inexplicable imagery. He seeks the assistance of his psychology teacher, Professor Noxx and the latter's assistants.
